Introduction

Hi everybody !

Welcome to my first post about the tenth art, a recent art category : video games. We all know adventure, action, racing or strategy video games. For a long time, they were just an entertainment. But now, some of them are considered as works of art. I will talk about those video games. Indeed, the players feel emotions through the graphics, soundtracks and scenarii of video games. Furthermore, it takes a lot of time to create a video game : time for research, production. Like in a movie.

I will talk about video games that made a big impression on me. They are atypical on their gameplay interactions and/or screenplay. All of them are single-player games and focused on storytelling than game mechanics and gaming skills. They draw a parallel between a fantasy world and real problems of life.

I have known most of them from let’s plays of a youtuber that I like a lot. His pseudonym is Superbrioche666 (sounds very French ! ). I play video games but sometimes, I prefer to watch let’s play. It’s something different but it is quite cool. In the first place, it may seem weird. On the contrary, it allows you to share emotions with the video maker and to have a different point of view. Moreover, to be a spectator and not an actor enable you to notice retrospectively more details than when you are playing the game.

So, in the next articles, I will share with you, dear pro gamer or noob, some rare pearls I found !
